Module L1 – Setting Expectations and Building Accountability

Duration is 90 minutes, with a maximum of 10 in the online workgroup. Uses tried and tested methods to set work expectations, give feedback using radical candour and the AID model and how to enable others to be committed to their accountabilities.

Module L2 – Performance Leadership

• How to recognise a good or bad performance?
• How to deal with good performance and retain these individuals?
• How do I deal with mediocre performance?
• How do I performance manage someone who denies the need to change?
• How do I performance manage a relative of the boss?
• How do I performance manage one of my good friends?
• How do I manage declining performance of a loyal and long serving employee?

Duration is 120 minutes, with a maximum of 10 in the online workgroup. Uses tried and tested methods in managing performance and having that ‘difficult conversation’.

Module L3 – When conversations or relationships go sour

• How do I control my emotions?
• How do I react to the emotions of others?
• What if the person won’t listen?
• What if they turn it around and say it is my fault?
• What if they accuse me of harassment or bullying?
• What if they refuse to discuss the issues?

Duration is 90 minutes, with a maximum of 12 in the online workgroup. What to do when it doesn’t quite work out the way you planned. This module is very closely linked to L2 and should be considered as a follow-on from that module.

Module L4 – Change and Change Management

• What is change?
• How do I recognise the barriers to change in others?
• Why is it that people resist?
• How should I interact with my team to ensure better understanding?
• How can I use this knowledge to assess who will be ‘match fit’ for the future of our business?

Duration is 120 minutes, with a maximum of 12 in the online workgroup. This session gets to the heart of why people act differently during change. It looks at dynamics and differences in thinking styles. A pre-requisite for this module is that participants conduct an online assessment of their view of change and a work preference psychometric.

Module L5 – Communicating in Difficult Times

• How can we listen more effectively?
• What are the barriers to listening?
• What can I do to get my message across- face to face and online?
• What can I use to help me communicate more effectively?
• How can I change my words to create a ‘can do’ mindset in others?

Duration is 90 minutes, with a maximum of 12 in the online workgroup. This session is all about communicating when all you have is words, voice and pictures available. This session gives you some practical tools to create and deliver effective messages and how to be proactive in the language you use.

Module L6 – Influencing and Persuasion

• How can we prepare ourselves to be more influential?
• What is the science of persuasion?
• How can psychology help us to influence?
• What type of influencer am I? and how can this be changed?
• What is Think Win-Win and how does it apply?
• How do I influence over the phone or on Zoom?

Duration is 90 minutes, with a maximum of 12 in the online workgroup. This session demonstrates proven techniques that can be used by anyone who needs to influence or persuade others.

Module L7 – Creating good habits that support Leadership

• Using proactive versus reactive language
• Owning and controlling the narrative
• Prioritising and planning, with good goals in mind
• How to really build trust and authenticity in your interactions
• How to build a team that works cohesively
• Leadership styles and alignment
• Motivating during difficult times

This is a two-part session, with each session lasting 120 minutes. Maximum of 10 in the online workgroup. This session references the theories behind Covey’s 7 Habits of Highly Effective People.

Module L8 – Taking difficult action

• When all else fails – how do I have the tough conversation?
• How do I avoid a claim of bullying and harassment?
• How do I avoid a claim of unfair dismissal?
• How do I protect my business if an ex-employee tries to take my customers?
• How do I reflect and act to avoid these situations in the future?

This session gives real insight into what you need to know and do if you must take difficult employee action. It lasts 90 minutes. Maximum of 10 in the online workgroup. A follow-up one to one session is made available so that individuals can gain personal advice on their situation.

Module L9 – Understanding your preferences, strengths and those of your team members

• How to use psychometrics to gain insights about the hidden capabilities and preferences of you and your team.
• To understand the benefits of simple psychometrics to analyse the dynamics of your team and pitfalls to watch for when working remotely.
• How understanding yourself as a leader will help you lead more effectively.
• Why there is value in building a high performing team.

This session gives participants a deep dive into psychometrics and individual occupational preferences. It lasts 120 minutes. Maximum of 8 in the online workgroup.

Module O1 – Getting the interview by having the best CV, Profile and Letter

• How to update or create an effective CV.
• How to create your Profile Page.
• How to develop your ‘elevator pitch’.
• Creating introductory letter and follow up correspondence.

Duration is 60 minutes, with a maximum of 8 in the online workgroup. This workshop looks at the latest trends in CV writing and how to get your message across to the potential employer. In addition, the facilitator will assist in finalising and editing the CV. This service is included in the cost.

Module O2 – How to be successful in an interview or assessment centre

• Pre-interview techniques
• During the interview – what to say and do. Condition – Action – Result
• Post-interview techniques.
• What is an assessment centre and how you can prepare?
• What psychometrics may be used and how you can prepare?
• Tricks of the trade – the insights that make a difference.

Duration is 60 minutes, with a maximum of 8 in the online workgroup. This workshop looks at how to really make your interview a success. Remember, many people who conduct interviews are not experienced in this area. Therefore, they will base their decision on their personal reaction towards you (for example, “Do I like this person?”). Avoid this situation by taking control of the interview and ensuring you get your best and most relevant achievements front and foremost in their mind.

Module O3 – Practice interview

A practical interview with a trained behavioural interviewer. Feedback and corrective action will be given throughout, with a follow up action plan to review and practice at home. Duration is 70 minutes and this session is one to one. This is an opportunity to fine tune your skills at being interviewed.

Module O4 – Networking and Speculative Approaches to Job Searching

• Looking at your current network for opportunities
• How to approach your network, even if you haven’t spoke to the person for years
• How to follow up and build your network and social media presence
• What institutions to join and what should you expect for your money
• Recruiters – how to manage and ascertain the best ones for you

Duration is 60 minutes, with a maximum of 12 in the online workgroup. This workshop is run by an experienced networker and recruiter. They give you the insights on what you need to do to be successful in the market.

Module O5 – Keeping your Motivation Up

Job Searching is tough and should not be taking lightly. All of us from time to time need an injection of motivation to keep us going. This is a one to one session with an experienced motivational coach and experienced outplacement specialist. Duration is 30 minutes and this session is one to one.
